Wardrobe perils in Johannesburg…

… I don’t know how the mense in Jhb do this dressing thing in winter!  I received the following advice from friends – layers layers layers – I was told wear tights under your pants / jeans and camisoles under your top, under your jersey, under your jacket.  Okay, makes sense.

So yesterday I left Durban for Jhb at about 8:30 in the morning, there was no way I could dress for Jhb while still in Durban, I would have sweated my pants off long before I hit Jhb.  So I wore jeggings, a low cut top, some iron fist heals, and then a light thin waterfall jersey thingy and I carried my melton jacket and a scarf.  Fortunately I brought the Durban weather to Jhb yesterday and was quite comfy until about 4pm when I started wishing I had a few layers on.

So today, I heeded the advise and came prepared … tights under boots and jeans and a cami and shirt under a jersey and melton jacket with a scarf.  All good I thought …

But what people don’t tell you is what happens when you wear tights under your jeans … I was sliding out of my jeans every time I just contemplate bending over!  Highly annoying!  And the layers have me feeling like a michelin man!

I would have to say if I lived in Jhb I wouldn’t bother with gym in winter – no-one comes close to seeing your body anyway! 😀

Missing gym – 2 days of no gym – counting minutes til I get home Friday and can gym – making up for it with other action at least 🙂

Random musing – it’s my birthday coming up next week – must decide what I’m doing!

Nice one. Enjoyed the post. Personally I enjoy packing on layers, but I suppose it's a matter of personal preference.
