Life goes on …

… I can’t believe it’s been over 2 months since my last blog post.  So, what news?

Not much actually …

Business is great – aside from the fact that my role has largely morphed into a tree destroying, paper generating, anal attention to detail, boring admin job – the joys of being a franchisor!  If you ever thought owning your own business and turning it into a franchise sounded fun – think again! LOL!  I hardly get to speak to people in the store anymore, my desk chair and I are intimately familiar with each other in a bad way!  On the positive side, we’re doing a little more product development which is really fun!  And this week, I actually managed to spend some time doing some proactive marketing – I wasn’t drowning in admin for a change.  Going to JHB now and again is also cool – I have decided it’s far easier to jol in Jhb, jolling in Durbs, not so much 🙂

Socially, I have become a self confessed recluse – not apologising – clearly a phase I am going through so enjoying it while it lasts 🙂

On the home front – Frenchy moved out, Duffy is still with me but in Jhb every week – looking forward to a Jhb jol with her in a couple of weeks 🙂  And we have a new housemate Sam, who is never there!  So effectively I’m rattling around the house alone most of the time.  Not good for my recluse status 🙂

Had a little excitement recently when the gorgeous friend with benefits can back to Durban for a little visit, was so nice to have him around again, but it always takes me a while to get back into the swing of things and before I know it he’s gone again 🙂  Dreamer and The Dove came over for a dinner while he was here because he and Dreamer were school friends.  That was weird!  Haven’t seen Dreamer in over a year, maybe closer to 18 months.  It was very pleasant, you would never have known the drama from before.

I feel like a big fat white winter heffalump (this is my annual winter state of being) – so I have bought a stack of tan can sessions and been to gym every morning this week.  Noddy badge – now let’s see if I can keep it up 🙂    I miss my “early 30s” body!
